During the 31st Chengdu FISU World University Games, The Symphony of Poetry and Tea: Tianfu Culture in Four Seasons written by the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture at Chengdu University (CDU) was showcased to Chinese and international media reporters across numerous scenarios. Under the direction and guidance of the Publicity Department of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee, this presentation served to promote Chengdu's cultural image on a broader scale.
The book series, The Symphony of Poetry and Tea: Tianfu Culture in Four Seasons, vividly brings to life the historical and cultural stories of Chengdu, taking inspiration from the city's changing seasons. This collection serves Chengdu's aspirations of becoming a world cultural city and plays a pivotal role in supporting Chengdu's and China's stories to overseas guests during the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games. It has been selected as one of the three essential readings for showcasing Bashu and Tianfu culture during the Games. The collection has created a new mode of systematic and vivid dissemination of Chengdu's image to the outside world on the basis of comprehensive research. Because of its distinctive features, this collection has been selected and recommended by the Publicity Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chengdu Municipal Committee to participate in the Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse) and the China International Import Expo on behalf of Sichuan and China. The book's launch has attracted a wide range of media coverage, which has already been quite well-known and essential.
During the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, this collection was displayed in key locations such as the Main Media Centre, the Media Information Counter, bookshelves in the lounge area, and hotels accommodating reporters, aiming to facilitate the international dissemination of the Tianfu culture and Chengdu’s city image.
