In February 2021, the academic works translated by Wang Dezheng, a young doctor from the Law School of Chengdu University, entitled "The Criminal Punishability of Artificial Intelligence Robots", was reprinted in full in the fourth issue of Xinhua Digest in 2021. This article was originally published in the Academic Journal of Zhongzhou (No. 10, 2020), a CSSCI source journal, which is the first academic translation of our university to be reprinted in full in Xinhua Digest.

It was translated from a paper written in the German language by Professor Lasse Quarck from the Law School of the University of Kiel in Germany. That paper presents an original view from the perspective of German criminal law on the criminal subject of artificially intelligent robots, one of the most cutting-edge topics among the current criminal law communities worldwide, providing certain reference significance to the Chinese criminal law community.

Founded in 1979, Xinhua Digest is a large authoritative abstract journal that is theoretical, comprehensive and informative, sponsored by the People's Publishing House. It is also the most influential philosophical and social sciences abstract journal and the most authoritative secondary literature collection institution in China. The full-text reprint of Dr. Wang Dezheng's academic translation reflects the attention and affirmation of Xinhua Digest to our school's research on criminal law.
