On the afternoon of March 26, a delegation of the 27th China Teachers Celebration, headed by Shu Gangbo, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education, visited Chengdu University (CDU). Peng Xiaolin, Vice President of CDU, welcomed the visitors and introduced the school management to the representatives from visiting universities.
The delegation visited the newly built library of CDU, and learned about the master planning of the Athletes' Village for the 31st FISU Summer World University Games Chengdu 2021 (hereinafter referred to as the "Athletes' Village").
Following that, the delegation got to know the student affairs service system through "Internet +" information technology in the Student Affairs Hall to provide students with efficient and convenient "one-stop" campus public services. In the Co-creation (CC) space, it learned about the contribution of national mass maker spaces to serving the regional economic and social development of Chengdu as well as the characteristic development path of "talent cultivation + mass maker space". At the International Department of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, the delegation witnessed CDU's drive to develop distinctive talent cultivation, high-level faculties, and international scientific research, and serve the internationalization of the city by taking advantage of China's Belt and Road Initiative as a strategic platform and the gathering of many art celebrities.
Members of the delegation gave a thumbs-up to the construction and development momentum of CDU. In addition, they also expressed gratitude for its hospitality, and learned more about the student enrollment, and education of overseas students, among others.
