On June 9, research output Curriculum Innovation in a Digital Age: Theory, Design, and Practice by Jiratchaya Namwong (Lin Qing), a Thai lecturer at the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures, Chengdu University (CDU), was officially recognized by an Educational Standards Promotion, Office of the Private Education Commission, Ministry of Education, Thailand.


The research focuses on China-Thailand educational cooperation and talent cultivation in Southeast Asia. It analyzes cutting-edge trends in digital technology-enabled curriculum reform and proposes optimization solutions, including flexible curriculum framework building, AI-integrated interdisciplinary curriculum design, and the cultivation of teachers' digital literacy.


Lin Qing currently serves as Deputy Director of the Sichuan Center for Chulalongkorn University Proficiency Test of Thai as a Foreign Language (CU-TFL) and a researcher at the Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies, a regional studies center registered with the Ministry of Education. She has long been committed to research on Thai education and Southeast Asian area studies. The research output marks a milestone for two key projects: the Key Project of the Southeast Asia Research Center of Sichuan Normal University, a "Belt and Road" Area Studies Center of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China, titled Research on Talent Cultivation Models for Educational Modernization in Southeast Asia in service of High-Quality Belt and Road Cooperation (2025DNYZD001); and the 2025 Annual Project of the Thailand Research Center of Chengdu University, titled Research on Thailand's Strategic Role in China-ASEAN Multilateral Mechanisms: A Case Study of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation and RCEP (SPRITS202523).


The College of Foreign Languages and Cultures serves as the host institution of the Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies. Adhering to the development orientation of "rooted in Chengdu, deeply engaged in Thailand, and radiating across ASEAN," the College leverages its multilingual strengths to actively serve the national Belt and Road Initiative and China-Thailand strategic cooperation. The College has long focused its research on distinctive areas including digital education innovation and China-Thailand cultural and economic exchanges. It will continue to deepen its commitment to area studies, focusing on key directions such as digital education transformation, China-Thailand cultural cooperation, and international communication, and proactively conducting forward-looking and policy-oriented research. It will strive to produce high-caliber academic outcomes and continuously enhance its core disciplinary competitiveness and international influence, thereby providing robust intellectual support for international exchanges in the Chengdu-Chongqing region and deepening integrated development in China-ASEAN relations.
