Chengdu University secures "Intergovernmental International Cooperation on Science and Technology Innovation" Key Special Project under National Key R&D Program

Recently, the International Science and Technology Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China announced the list of approved China-Poland personnel exchange projects under the National Key R&D Program, specifically the "Intergovernmental International Cooperation on Science and Technology Innovation" Key Special Project. Chengdu University (CDU), as the leading institution, successfully secured approval for the project "Development of Microbial Slow-Release Fertilizer from Biogas Desulfurization Paste and Its Blueberry Growth Promotion Application." Led by Associate Professor Yang Zhendong from the College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, this project represents a significant new milestone for the university in leading national-level research projects.

This project, jointly funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchanges, was selected through a process of independent evaluations conducted separately by both sides, followed by a joint selection. Its approval highlights a significant achievement resulting from CDU's sustained commitment to high-level scientific research and its proactive alignment with national strategic priorities. The project is set to play an important role in fostering interdisciplinary integration and strengthening innovative capabilities.

In recent years, CDU has pursued an international development strategy, expanding global exchanges and partnerships, and steadily broadening its science and technology cooperation network. Guided by the university's Science and Technology Department (Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation Center), the College of Architecture and Civil Engineering has aligned its efforts with national strategic needs and kept pace with international scientific frontiers. It continuously upgrades its scientific research infrastructure, fosters a favorable environment for innovation, and focuses on cultivating outstanding research teams capable of producing landmark achievements.
