The ranking shows the world's leading 1,000 research universities, with 203 domestic universities and 8 Sichuan universities on the list. Chengdu University ranked 801st-900th in the global academic ranking, with an accurate ranking of 878th, up 31 places from 909th last year. It ranked 157th-179th in China, with an accurate ranking of 175th. The ARWU of ShanghaiRanking involves six objective indicators, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, number of Highly Cited Researchers selected by Clarivate, number of articles published in journals of Nature and Science, number of international articles indexed in Science Citation Index - Expanded and Social Sciences Citation Index, and per capita performance of a university.Chengdu University performs the best in terms of the international article-related indicator, ranking 554th in this regard globally.
