On July 31, the Chengdu FISU World Conference was wrapped up in the city. The closing ceremony was presided over by Wang Qian, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Chengdu FISU World Conference and Deputy Mayor of Chengdu Municipal People's Government. At the ceremony, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) awarded certificates and medals to universities that passed FISU Healthy Campus Standard. Wang Qingyuan, President of Chengdu University (CDU) and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, was invited to the ceremony and received a silver certification medal from Leonz Eder, Acting President of FISU, on behalf of the university.

It is understood that the Healthy Campus is an international program led by FISU, which as a pilot program aims to promote the development of sports culture on campus, facilitate international exchanges, and highlight the role of sports education in comprehensive universities. The FISU Healthy Campus Standard includes seven major areas of physical activity and sport, nutrition, disease prevention, mental and social health, risk behavior, environment, sustainability, and social responsibility and management. In June 2023, CDU registered for certification. To comprehensively advance the development and application for the Healthy Campus certification, CDU has set up a special working group led by the College of Physical Education, with its Clinical Medical College & Affiliated Hospital, Mental Health Center, Logistics Office, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Youth League Committee, Student Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office, Infrastructure Office, Security Office, Alumni Work Office, College of Teachers and other departments. According to the certification requirements, all departments actively carried out the relevant certification work, organizing and preparing documents for mechanism guarantee, process implementation, and operation outcomes of the Healthy Campus program at CDU. The documents were then submitted for review. The certification not only fully demonstrated the style and efficiency of CDU, but also reflected its remarkable accomplishments in developing the Healthy Campus program, which was fully recognized by the FISU.

The FISU Healthy Campus Standard sets five levels of certification, namely Certified, Certified Bronze, Certified Silver, Certified Gold, and Certified Platinum. There are currently 59 universities worldwide that have passed different levels of certification. Only five Chinese universities have been certified, namely Peking University (Certified Platinum), CDU (Certified Silver), Donghua University (Certified Bronze), Chengdu Sport University (Certified), and Chinese Culture University in Taiwan (Certified Bronze), which are the first batch of universities awarded such certification.
