The 3rd "Gongga Cup" Youth Campus Sports League of Sichuan Province concluded on June 16 at Southwest Jiaotong University. The male and female football teams of Chengdu University (CDU) both achieved second place in their respective professional groups of the league, and were awarded the first prize.

The "Gongga Cup" Youth Campus Sports League of Sichuan Province is an event spearheaded by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and co-sponsored by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Sport and the Communist Youth League of Sichuan Province. It is currently the largest and most famous youth campus sports event in Sichuan Province with the widest coverage and the largest number of participants. A total of 27 colleges and universities participated in the men's professional group competition, while 24 colleges and universities participated in the women's professional group competition during this year's league. After intense regional and final competitions, CDU's men's and women's football teams both achieved second place. Although they did not win the first prize, it is commendable that both teams demonstrated the sportsmanship of CDU by exhibiting a fearless attitude toward competition and striving for excellence throughout the process. The teams will review their experience from this competition meticulously and train more diligently to achieve better results in the next session.

On the day of the closing ceremony, Peng Xiaolin, Vice President of CDU, took a group photo with team members and extended her congratulations. She urged everyone to continuously pursue growth while achieving good results, striving for even better outcomes in the future.
