On June 15, Shanghai Ranking, a professional evaluation agency for higher education, officially released its 2023 Best Chinese Majors Ranking. Chengdu University (CDU) has 64 majors on the list, accounting for 95.5% of the total number of ranked majors, representing a 2.9 percentage point increase from the previous year. Among them, two majors were rated as A, indicating an increase of one from the previous year; 34 majors were rated as B+, representing a growth of 22 compared to the previous year, and 28 majors received a rating of B. The majors rated A include Animation and Visual Communication Design, with the latter being a newly rated program this year.

It is reported that the 2023 Shanghai Ranking's Best Chinese Majors Ranking includes a total of 787 undergraduate majors, spanning across 93 major categories and 12 major sectors. A total of 30,772 majors from 1,076 universities were included in the list. It is a well-established ranking of undergraduate majors in China that covers the largest number of majors and has the most extensive participation scale.
