In December 2022, a new Cambridge Linguaskill test center settled in Chengdu University (CDU), becoming the first Cambridge Linguaskill test center in Sichuan. At present, Cambridge Linguaskill has established 2,800 test sites in 130 countries around the world.

Cambridge Linguaskill is an online test developed by Cambridge Assessment English. Characterized by flexible test time, fast scoring, and reasonable scoring standards, it helps organizations assess the English proficiency of individual testers and team testers with artificial intelligence technology. In the form of modules, Cambridge Linguaskill comprehensively tests the four language skills of speaking, writing, reading, and listening. The test papers are automatically graded by machines, which can quickly and accurately describe the English proficiency of candidates, making tests at anytime and anywhere possible. With the help of computer self-adaptive features, Cambridge Linguaskill can reasonably measure the strengths and weaknesses of candidates' English competency, which then help candidates adjust their learning strategies through tests and form growth-oriented English learning concepts. The Cambridge Linguaskill test center is the fourth test center in CDU's Global Language Testing Center, following those for the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), and the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK). The Global Language Testing Center is an important part of CDU's internationalization strategy. CDU will continuously improve the construction standards and service levels of the testing center, and actively arrange the multilingual projects and test sites to improve the quality and efficiency of multilingual teaching projects. At the same time, by building a multilingual test center cluster, CDU provides a language test channel inside the university for students and creates the first choice for international language tests for the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
