Recently, the 2022 National Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships & World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships Trial and CBBA PRO Bodybuilding and Fitness Elite Pro League wrapped up in Xiamen. The event was held by the China Bodybuilding and Fitness Association. The champions and league consist of Classic Physique, Figure, Bodybuilding and other divisions, attracting nearly 300 participants. Ou Mingcai, a student from the College of Physical Education at Chengdu University (CDU), overcame challenges and won the third prize and the honorable title of "Excellent Athlete" in the 65 kg Bodyweight Category of Classic Physique.

The Classic Physique is composed of seven mandatory poses, free posing and a 60-second individual freestyle posing routine. Participants are required to show their big muscles and clear but balanced builds with attractive poses. Participants are always in heated competition in this division and the 65 kg Bodyweight Category attracts the most competitors, making this category the most competitive one among others. Ou Mingcai's achievement marks the best result obtained by our students in this division.Ou Mingcai is the first student cultivated and trained by our university who won "Excellent Athlete". It reflects the good work already done in training high-quality sports professionals at CDU.
