On June 13, Chengdu University (CDU) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) both online and offline. Mohammad Mujahid, President of PAF-IAST, Li Jinsong, Founder & CEO of Tang Chinese Education & Technology Ltd., and Wang Qingyuan and Peng Xiaolin, President and Vice President of CDU, attended the signing ceremony.
With an emphasis on the China-Pakistan friendship, Wang Qingyuan introduced in his speech that CDU is committed to improving talent cultivation, scientific research, social services and cultural heritage and innovation, to meet regional needs for economic and social development. It will stick to the implementation of international development strategies as a fast-growing application-oriented city university. In his view, the international cooperation between PAF-IAST and CDU will be rewarding for students and teachers of both universities.
Mohammad Mujahid introduced the development path of PAF-IAST and its internationalization strategy. He mentioned that PAF-IAST is one of the key projects supported by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and hoped that in the future, more profound cooperation would be carried out between the two parties in various areas, such as the cultivation of masters and doctoral students and the construction of research centers for specific disciplines.
Li Jinsong illustrated the background of the cooperation project and expressed his wish for this partnership to be a demonstration of China-Pakistan cooperation in higher education, which will contribute to building a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future.
Representing CDU and PAF-IAST, respectively, Wang Qingyuan and Mohammad Mujahid signed the MOU for project operation.
The Director and relevant staff of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange also attended the signing ceremony. It is learned that the official partnership between CDU and PAF-IAST means another significant breakthrough in Chinese-foreign cooperation education, which will further promote its multi-level, multi-tired, and high-standard development of the international exchange and cooperation.
