Xiao Rui, lecturer, CPC member, graduated from Neijiang Normal University with a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature, from Sichuan University with a master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, and from Adamson University, the Philippines with a doctoral degree in pedagogy. Her research focuses on Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. She won the titles of Outstanding College Graduate, Outstanding Student Cadre, Merit Student and Elite League Cadre and the first-class scholarship from Neijiang Normal University; won the second-class scholarship from Sichuan University and was rated as the "Outstanding Student in Volunteer Chinese Teachers in Thailand" in 2016 by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), and the "Outstanding Volunteer Chinese Teacher in the Philippines" in 2016-2017; obtained the Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Language, the Senior Teacher Qualification Certificate and the Putonghua Level 1-B certificate.


Educational Experiences:

She once went to the Philippines to serve as a volunteer Chinese teacher and was a Chinese tutor for overseas students of the G-MEO program at Sichuan University and a Chinese teacher in the Language Center of Adamson University. She is currently head teacher of the 2020 economic and trade class and is responsible for teaching such courses as Chinese Listening, Chinese Speaking, Chinese Reading and Chinese Writing.


With her research focusing on teaching Chinese as a second language, she has published many papers as the first author, including "Application of Immersive Chinese Teaching Concept in Chinese Series Textbooks", "Surface Morphology of Isthmic Lumbar Spondylolisthesis in Badminton Athletes and Degenerative Spondylolisthesis Patients with Spine Pelvis Sagittal Plane", and "Influence Factors and Strategies of Teacher-Student Interactive Behaviors in Sports Class Teaching" and published the monograph Chinese Language and Literature (by China Social Sciences Press) as the second author.


Reflections on education: I will strive to spread the culture and charm of Chengdu, let the College of Overseas Education of Chengdu University go global, and attract international students to study at Chengdu University.
