On the afternoon of May 14, Professor Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, President of Thailand's National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), led a delegation to visit Chengdu University. Zhu Ming, Party Secretary of Chengdu University, met with the delegation at CDU’s Meeting Room A316. The two sides exchanged views on deepening inter-university cooperation and advancing joint training programs. Peng Xiaolin, Vice President of Chengdu University, participated in the discussions.
     Zhu Ming extended a warm welcome to the delegation and reviewed the friendly cooperation between the two universities over the years. He stated that Chengdu University attaches great importance to its cooperation with Thai universities. As a top public university in Thailand, NIDA has long been an important international partner of Chengdu University. He expressed the hope that, building on existing joint education programs, both sides would further expand the scope and depth of academic exchanges, faculty and student visits, and research collaboration, working together to nurture high-caliber talent with global competitiveness.
     Tippawan Lorsuwannarat expressed her gratitude for the warm reception. She noted that as a leading research-oriented university in Thailand, NIDA has been committed to advancing its internationalization and highly values the strong partnership it has established with Chengdu University. During this visit, she was deeply impressed by Chengdu University's robust momentum in development and hoped that this exchange would facilitate substantive progress in areas such as academic resource sharing and joint supervision of doctoral students.
     During the talks, both sides also exchanged views on issues on admission and training details of joint doctoral programs, faculty exchange mechanisms, and co-hosting international academic conferences. Chaphiporn Kiatkachatharn (Guan Guoxing), Director of the Thailand Exchange Center, along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures, participated in the above-mentioned activities.

Found in 1966, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) is a public higher education institution affiliated with the Higher Education Commission of the Thai Ministry of Education . It is the only top-tier research university in Thailand that exclusively offers master's and doctoral-level education. Cooperation between Chengdu University and NIDA began in 2013, and the two institutions have maintained close exchanges and collaboration in recent years. To date, a number of Chengdu University alumni have pursued advanced studies at NIDA.
