On March 1, the cultural tourism experience activity of "China Travel with Chinese Films" was held in Chengdu, Sichuan. It is sponsored by the China Film Administration and China Media Group (CMG), and undertaken by China Global Television Network (CGTN) and China Movie Channel. Kapali Siddhanta, Shreeju Kapali, Viktoriia Tokunova and Anastasiia Ivanova, international student representatives from Nepal and Russia of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, incarnate as "barrier beast" hunters to embark on an immersive cultural exploration integrating film, history, light and shadow, lighting up the spring night of Chengdu with the enthusiasm of youth.

Ne Zha Meets Sanxingdui: Millennium-old Dialogue, Spiritual Resonance
The exploration team watched the movie Ne Zha 2 in the cinema. The film is full of wonderful plots. Kapali Siddhanta, a student from Nepal, said after watching the movie: "The special effects of Ne Zha 2 are really great and the scenes are vivid. Especially when Ne Zha shouted out, 'I'm the master of my destiny,' I was deeply shocked. The plot completely crossed the language barrier, and many of us cried."
In Sanxingdui Museum, the exploration team embarked on a journey to explore the millennium-old echoes of ancient Shu myths. The team members searched carefully in the museum, took photos in front of the bronze sacred tree and marveled at the rich and wonderful exhibits. What's more pleasantly surprising to them is that they encountered a realistic version of the funny bronze barrier beast. Anastasiia Ivanova, a student from Russia, said with emotion: "It turns out that the ancient Shu people have carved their fantasy into stones for a long time. It is really amazing!"

A Tale of Light and Shadow Beneath the Twin Towers: Dreams and Reality Intertwine
As night falls, Tianfu Twin Towers staged a Ne Zha-themed light show, pushing the event to a climax. When the image of Ne Zha appears on the Twin Towers and interacts with everyone across dimensions in a vivid manner, it seems that dreams are shining into reality in the crisscrossing light and shadow. Meanwhile, these classic characters, including the charmingly adorable Taiyi Zhenren and the handsome Ao Bing, the prince of the Eastern Sea Dragon Palace, are vivid in the light show, forming a colorful mythological picture together with Ne Zha. At this moment, scientific and technological innovation and Chinese traditions were perfectly integrated and echoed with each other, allowing the audience to deeply feel the new vitality of Chinese culture supported by scientific and technological innovation.
"Chengdu University Code" Hidden in Films: A Fantastical Journey of Alumni
Before the departure, we had heard from teachers of the College that Xi Sipan, a Thai alumnus of the College, also worked as an animator in Chengdu Coco Cartoon Co., Ltd., the team that produced Ne Zha 2. Many teachers and alumni of the College are important members of the production team of Ne Zha 2. With eyes twinkling with yearning, Kapali Siddhanta said: "It turns out that we are not chasing stars, but encountering the footprints of alumni on our way to pursuing dreams. I am proud that I am a student of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University!"
