On the afternoon of November 4, Hasan Çapan, the President of the Turkish Chinese Friendship Foundation (TCFF), led a delegation to visit our university. The meeting was held in the A1002 conference room at the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, where Zhu Ming,  President of the university, welcomed the guests. Vice President Peng Xiaolin also attended the meeting, alongside Liu Min, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province, and Miao Ronghua, Director of the Asian Affairs Department at the same office.

Zhu Ming extended a warm welcome to Hasan Çapan and his delegation, providing a brief overview of the university’s history, academic disciplines, research achievements, and international cooperation projects, particularly in talent cultivation and international exchanges. He expressed the university's commitment to nurturing high-quality talents with a global perspective and cross-cultural communication skills, expressing eagerness for deeper collaboration with Turkish universities in areas such as student exchanges, joint research, and academic discussions in the future.

President Hasan Çapan expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and highly praised our university for its achievements in international education and educational innovation. He provided a detailed account of the mission and objectives of the TCFF, emphasizing its crucial role in promoting educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries. President Çapan noted that the foundation aims to create more opportunities for Turkish youth to learn about and experience Chinese culture and welcomed students from Chengdu University to study and engage in exchange programs in Turkey. The TCFF will provide additional resources and support to facilitate academic exchanges between both parties.

This visit also reflects the increasingly close Turkey-China relations in recent years. The establishment of a Turkish consulate general in Chengdu and the growing trade volume between Sichuan Province and Turkey underscores the robust cooperation between the two countries on multiple levels. This meeting will serve as an important opportunity for both parties to explore new avenues of collaboration.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Traditional Crafts Institute and the Chengdu ASEAN Art Museum. Relevant leaders from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the International Department of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, and the School of Fine Arts and Design participated in these activities.
