On August 31, the first cohort of international students of the "1+2+1" dual-degree exchange program officially began their studies for the fall semester at Chengdu University. She encouraged the students to study more about Chinese culture, perceive the unique charm of Chinese civilization, enhance their ability for cross-cultural communication and understanding, and be a promoter of Chinese culture and an ambassador for cultural exchanges between China and other countries. In addition, she urged the students to cherish their time studying in China, take learning as the primary task, consolidate their professional foundation, and create more and better opportunities for their personal development. Moreover, she motivated the students to integrate into campus life, learn from one another, respect each other, and build deep friendships, thereby enjoying a fulfilling, wonderful study abroad experience.

In 2023, the Joint Education Agreement on the "1+2+1" Double-Degree Program in Business Administration was signed between the Overseas Education College of Chengdu University and the International Chinese College of Rangsit University of Thailand. The "1+2+1" international cooperative education model allows students to study at a domestic university for a while, then continue at a foreign partner university, and ultimately obtain degrees from both institutions. Under this model, the "Chinese + Business Administration" dual-degree program aims to provide students with an international educational experience, broaden their international horizons, and enhance their skills in intercultural communication.

The international students from Rangsit University of Thailand will join the third-year classes of Chengdu University's Business Administration program. For these international students, the College English course is taught by English teachers from the Overseas Education College of Chengdu University, and the speaking and writing courses in Business Chinese are delivered by Chinese teachers from the same college in separate classes.

Founded in 1985, Rangsit University of Thailand is a comprehensive university with the largest number of majors and the largest in scale in Thailand. It is also an highly internationalized institution of higher education. In 2021, it signed a cooperation agreement with Chengdu University.
