On July 8, the signing ceremony of the cooperation memorandum between Chengdu University and Hong Kong Tung Wah College was held at Chengdu University. Zhu Ming, President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Chengdu University, and Sally Chan, President of Tung Wah College, attended the ceremony and signed the memorandum of cooperation.
In his speech, Zhu Ming noted that as young universities, Chengdu University and Tung Wah College share discipline advantages, laying a good foundation and showing broad prospects for cooperation. It is expected that the two universities will take the signing of the cooperation memorandum as an opportunity to give full play to their respective characteristics and advantages, deepen cooperation in talent training, scientific research, cultural exchanges, and other fields, share high-quality educational resources, and jointly improve the quality of professional talent training.
Sally Chan expressed her gratitude for Chengdu University's warm reception and then introduced the history, vision, and discipline building of Tung Wah College. Nursing, medical treatment, and pre-primary education are advantageous disciplines of Tung Wah College. The average monthly salary of its graduates is among the best in Hong Kong. She said signing the cooperation memorandum with Chengdu University is a great pleasure. She looked forward to Chengdu University's return visit to Tung Wah College for more in-depth exchanges. Sally Chan also hoped to see fruitful results in nursing, pre-primary education, and other fields under the two sides' joint promotion.

After this meeting, the delegation visited the Welcome Centre of the FISU Games Village and the Traditional Crafts Institute. Professor Rick Yiu Cho KWAN and Professor Simon Ching LAM, both Associate Dean of the School of Nursing, Tung Wah College, Lavinia Sin, Mainland and International Engagement Senior Manager at Tung Wah College, and 14 teachers and students of the college's nursing and applied gerontology discipline attended the ceremony. Relevant heads of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office and the School of Basic Medical Science (School of Nursing) of Chengdu University attended the meeting.
