The 1st International Symposium on Digital Transformation and Future Society Held at CDU to Embrace Digital Transformation and Reform

On June 28, the 1st International Symposium on Digital Transformation and Future Society was hosted at Chengdu University (CDU) International Exchange Center. Vice President Ma Sheng attended and delivered a speech. Scholars from renowned foreign universities such as Pennsylvania State University, University of Oxford (UK), American University of Sharjah (UAE), and University of Bern (Switzerland), as well as experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and enterprises in China, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Renmin University of China, Nankai University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Sichuan University, Lanzhou University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, CDU, Tencent Research Institute, and the National Supercomputer Center in Chengdu, participated in the conference. The symposium held discussions around multiple topics, including innovative technologies in digital transformation, the connection between the digital economy and social development, data security and privacy protection, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work and society. Through interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration, the symposium aimed to provide multi-dimensional academic insights and solutions for the challenges and opportunities presented by digital transformation.

During the conference, Ma Sheng had an in-depth exchange with Professors Qiu Guanghua and Jiang Zhibin, the editors-in-chief of the journal Digital Transformation and Society. Their conversation covered topics such as the future development goals of the journal, CDU's support plan, and strategies for establishing an international conference with significant academic brand influence.

On the evening of June 28, Digital Transformation and Society successfully completed the renewal of its editorial board. Some scholars attending the conference will join the new editorial board, taking on roles as column editors-in-chief, manuscript reviewers, and contribution solicitors. Participants shared perspectives on promoting the high-quality development of Digital Transformation and Society.

The conference was co-organized by the Journal Center, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the Information Network Center, the Entrepreneurship College, the Social Science Department, the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures, the Business School, and the Overseas Education College at CDU.
