On the morning of June 30, a delegation encompassing Provincial Education Officers from three Provincial Education Offices of Thailand visited Chengdu University. Wang Qingyuan, President of Chengdu University cordially met with members of the delegation, including Yuphin Buakhom, Provincial Education Officer in Chiang Mai Provincial Education Office, Chumsak Chumnum, Provincial Education Officer in Lamphun Provincial Education Office, and Kongkrapan Verusarod, Provincial Education Officer in Nakhonpathom Provincial Education Office, as well as Nongnuch Cheewasrirungruang and Wu Zhenwen, Thai and Chinese President of the Wan Li Tong Language School in Thailand. A friendly discussion was conducted to promote comprehensive cooperation between the two sides.

Wang Qingyuan extended a heartfelt welcome to the guests, highlighting the academic features of Chengdu University. He also emphasized the university's achievements in international cooperation and educational and cultural exchanges between China and Thailand. In his introduction, Wang provided an overview of the outcomes achieved through exchanges and cooperation between the university and educational institutions in Thailand in the past years. Chengdu University holds the status as the pioneer among higher education institutions in Sichuan Province to establish a Thai language major. Additionally, it is the first university in the province to send students to Thailand for internship in teaching Chinese at local primary and secondary schools. The visit by the delegation was a significant step forward in strengthening practical educational cooperation between China and Thailand. He also expressed his hope that Chengdu University could work together with the three Thai provinces to set up the university's overseas branches as well as Confucius Institutes in local regions. President Wang also hoped that Chengdu University could seek new opportunities to conduct cooperation projects with Thai governments at different levels and universities in local regions. The objective is to collaboratively foster friendly exchanges between the two countries.

Furthermore, they commended the beautiful campus of Chengdu University and Chengdu's contemporary urban infrastructure and its remarkable economic progress. In addition, they expressed their planning to establish a lasting partnership with Chengdu University. Furthermore, they intend to recommend more Thai teachers and students to study and engage in exchange programs at the university, aiming to achieve mutual development between Thailand and China.
At the signing ceremony between Chengdu University and the three Provincial Education Office of Thailand, Wang Qingyuan signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOU) with the Provincial Education Officer of the Provincial Education Office in Chiang Mai, Lamphun, and Nakhonpathom Provinces respectively. The signing ceremony will enhance the partnership and reinforce exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

The delegation visited the Sichuan Provincial Research Institute of Thai Studies and communicated with Thai student representatives after the signing ceremony. The Provincial Education Officers of the Provincial Education Office hoped that Thai students could strive for academic excellence with good learning opportunities obtained here. Additionally, they encouraged Thai students to deepen their understanding of Chinese knowledge and culture while fostering cultural exchanges between China and Thailand, as well as nurturing mutual understanding and friendship between the people of both nations. Nongnuch Cheewasrirungruang, Thai President of the Wan Li Tong Language School in Thailand, signed an agreement for student internship and employment base with Chengdu University's College of Foreign Languages and Cultures.
Other distinguished guests also participated in the visit, including Jinda Kamlangprasit, Deputy Provincial Education Officer in Chiang Mai Provincial Education Office, Darun Ragnatee, Director of Supervison and Evaluation Group in Lamphun Provincial Education Office, and Thongjuea Iamthananurak, Deputy Provincial Educatino Officer in Nakhonpathom Provincial Education Office.
