On the afternoon of March 10, the delegation from the Shanghai Campus of Istituto Marangoni led by President Cheng Yingting paid a visit to Chengdu University (CDU). The two sides had an in-depth discussion on their international cooperation and exchanges. Attendees at the meeting include heads of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the International Department of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, the Overseas Education College, and the German Exchange Center.
Du Jie, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced CDU's achievements on international cooperation and exchange. She stated that international development is one of CDU's three major strategies, and CDU adheres to the opening-up of education. Over the years, CDU has worked to enhance its international reputation and the level of international cooperation and exchange and expand international cooperation projects, aiming to create a more open academic environment for faculties and students, and further develop itself into an application-oriented, domestic first-rate, and world-renowned city university with distinctive characteristics.
Cheng Yingting, President of the Shanghai Campus of Istituto Marangoni, presented the development history and school-running philosophy of Istituto. As an 85-year-old prestigious institute, Istituto Marangoni enjoys unparalleled fame in terms of fashion and design. President Chen Yingting spoke highly of CDU's internationalization strategy and the results achieved and hoped that the two universities would carry out in-depth cooperation in the international exchange of faculties and students and overseas joint training.
After the meeting, the delegation from Istituto Marangoni was on a visit to the School of Fine Arts and Design, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, during which Luo Lai, Dean of the School, introduced the relevant cooperative majors. The two universities have great confidence in future cooperation.
