Bilingual Docuseries Tianfu Culture Dialogues with the World Launched

Everything starts anew from the Beginning of the Spring. Under the guidance of the Information Office of Chengdu Municipal People's Government, the global launch ceremony of the full-length bilingual docuseries Tianfu Culture Dialogues with the World was held in the Exhibition Hall of the Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum. The documentary series is co-produced by the International Communication Cooperation Center, Chengdu Radio and Television, and the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture, Chengdu University (CDU). Tan Ping, Director of the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture, and Chen Jing, Executive Vice Director of the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture, attended the launch ceremony with their teams.

The project is a multilingual communication documentary on humanities, history, and culture developed by the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture and Chengdu Radio and Television, aiming to broaden horizons, expand the depth and carry out in-depth dialogue and exploration of world civilizations based on Tianfu culture. As one of the main creators and on-camera interlocutors of the documentary, Tan Ping delivered a speech entitled A New Space for Dialogue among Urban Civilizations at the launch ceremony. He mentioned that human civilization is like a garden, and the best cultural ecology is mutual respect, mutual tolerance, and equal exchange and learning. Chengdu is one of the most representative historical and cultural cities in China. The Tianfu culture in the documentary is a high-end urban civilization represented by Shu Brocade, Shu Embroidery, food, and music. Tan said that together with outstanding experts and scholars from Chinese and foreign cities, the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture of CDU will continue to tell the stories of Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and human civilization with sincere wishes and diligent professionalism to realize the good vision of building a world-famous cultural city in the new century.

Dozens of Chinese and foreign experts and scholars attended the ceremony and shared their insights, including Zhu Zhangyi, Director of Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum and Academic Member of the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture, Su Pinxiao, Professor of the School of History and Culture of Sichuan University and Academic Member of the Research Institute of Tianfu Culture, Pablo Mendoza, Academic and Cultural Director of the Representative Office of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in China, Ching Nan Ma, Director of Architecture and Residential Environment Design, as well as foreign guests in Chengdu.

On the global launch ceremony of the full-length bilingual docuseries Tianfu Culture Dialogues with the World, the Chengdu Plus "Double Hundred Team" Project for International Communication was also launched. In the future, 100 experts and scholars, as well as 100 foreigners who have made positive contributions in various fields, will be selected worldwide to build a team with influential experts and scholars for international communication and a friendly and professional cultural exchange to tell Chengdu's stories well for the world. The project aims to create a think tank for Chengdu's International communication and promote Tianfu culture through cooperation to improve the mutual learning of world civilizations.
