On the afternoon of November 16, 2022, the inauguration ceremony of Sichuan Literature and Art Review Base (Chengdu University) and the Seminar on Shimmering in the "Light" series were held in the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University (CDU). Attendees at the event included Liu Jiangang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of Sichuan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art; Rao Shuguang, President of China Film Critics Society; Li Mingquan, Vice Chairman of China Literature and Art Critics Association and Chairman of Sichuan Literature and Art Critics Association; Zhang Yong, Vice Chairman of Sichuan Writers Association and Well-known screenwriter; Yang Yuhua and Wang Xiaojun, Vice Presidents of CDU and Members of the Standing Committee of Party Committee.

In the welcome address, Yang Yuhua, on behalf of CDU, extended a warm welcome to all present guests and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their long-term care and support for the university's growth. He said that after the inauguration, the base will strive to become a practical platform that unites literary and artistic critics and art creators in common solidarity, thus shouldering the task of building a Sichuan literary and artistic criticism team surrounding cultural confidence, national rejuvenation, leading the trend and facing the world.
Li Mingquan said in his speech that the current power of the existing literary and artistic criticism is far from enough to satisfy the rapidly developing demand for literary and artistic creation in Sichuan and even in the whole country. It is urgent to establish bases and cooperative relationships with colleges and universities so that all people involved can give full play to their advantages, release new creative energy, and carry out criticism and teaching work about literary and artistic creation in Sichuan and even in the whole country. He emphasized that by creating a team of literary and artistic critics with a world vision, international perspective, and national sentiment, the literary and artistic criticism of film, television, animation, and other disciplines of art will be further strengthened. He hoped that with the inauguration as a starting point, Sichuan Literature and Art Critics Association and CDU would work together to contribute to the development of literature and art criticism in China.
At the ceremony, letters of appointment were issued to the Director, Advisor, Academic Committee Director, Academic Committee Member, and Deputy Director of Sichuan Literature and Art Review Base (Chengdu University).
Wang Xiaojun said that all colleagues in the literary arts sector should comprehend the guiding ideology of the Party Central Committee on literary arts criticism, strengthen cultural confidence, enhance cultural self-awareness, inherit revolutionary culture in order to develop advanced socialist culture, promote the creative transformation and innovative development of outstanding Chinese traditional culture, and take part in building a common spiritual home for the Chinese nation. Sichuan Literature and Art Review Base (Chengdu University) will strengthen the construction of "Five Capacities": strengthening the construction capacity of the literature and art critics team and creating a united platform for all of them; enhancing the execution capacity and creating a powerful platform to ensure the successful completion of literature and art criticism in the new era; fortifying the characteristic capacity and creating a literary and art space that serves the Belt and Road and features ASEAN characteristics; stimulating the innovative capacity and making Sichuan team that can create literary and art resources with distinctive characteristics standing out; building up the capacity to shoulder the mission of literary and art criticism development and creating a place that involves cultural self-confidence, national rejuvenation and leading trend. In the meantime, he believed that the base would value results, talents, dissemination through mainstream platforms that can launch themed programs, spread Sichuan culture, and nourish the spirit of Sichuan, as well as construction. A new space should be actively built in Sichuan jointly supported by literature and art associations and universities so that it can become a new home for people in the literary and artistic circles of Sichuan Province.

After the inauguration ceremony, the Seminar on Shimmering in the "Light" series was held. Through a combination of online and offline meetings, guests congratulated on the establishment of Sichuan Literature and Art Review Base (Chengdu University) and "brainstormed" on the red culture immersive drama "Shimmering".
