On the morning of September 24, the Sichuan Branch of the 2021 Northeast Asian Youth Camp on Sustainable Development Started in Chengdu University. The event was co-hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the SK Group of South Korea, supported by the Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province and the Education Department of Sichuan Province, and organized by the Training and Exchange Center of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Chengdu University. The funds are provided by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation SK Youth Happiness Special Fund, which was donated and established by SK Group. Hu Zhengyue, Vice Chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Bao Hui, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, and Wang Qingyuan, President of Chengdu University, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. After the opening of the camp, 40 youth delegates from 14 countries will spend the next four days conducting research on the efforts and achievements of Chengdu, Langzhong and Meishan in sustainable development.
In his speech, Wang Qingyuan said that as the host of this event, Chengdu University always regards internationalization as one of its development strategies, comprehensively promotes the exchange and interaction of international young talents, encourages young people from all countries to enhance the understanding and exchange of one another, and promotes our own growth, participating in the cause of realizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. He also hopes that through this event, more international young people will come to Chengdu to learn more about China, to stimulate innovation, and to promote the exchange and dialogue between China and foreign countries.
Xi Chun, a Russian student from Sichuan University, and Bai Fan, a student from Chengdu University, spoke on behalf of the campers, hoping to enter the beautiful Sichuan and enjoy green China from an in-depth and a different perspective. The camp is designed around the theme of "Green and Low Carbon, Sustainable Development", with a variety of visits and exchange activities. By using Sichuan as an example, it hopes to showcase China's efforts in green and sustainable development and expects young people to contribute to the sustainable development of Sichuan and China.
At the end of the opening ceremony, Hu Zhengyue awarded the flag of the camp to the representative campers and accepted the commemorative camp uniform signed by all the campers.

The 2021 Northeast Asian Youth Camp on Sustainable Development will be held in Jiangxi, Hainan, Shandong, Sichuan, and Beijing respectively from September 13 to 28. More than 200 international students from Northeast Asia and the countries of the One Belt and One Road Initiative, young entrepreneurs, and Chinese youths are invited. The theme of the 2021 camp is "Green and Low Carbon, Sustainable Development". More than 40 youth representatives of the camp of Sichuan will participate in a five-day visit and exchange activity in Chengdu, Nanchong, Meishan, and other places around the four topics of "Youth Growth and Green Development", "Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Green Development", "Poverty Reduction and Green Development" and "Multi-culture and Green Development". By far, the campers of Jiangxi and Hainan study camps have completed their visits and exchange activities. Camps in Shandong and Beijing will also be opened soon.
