Based on the 12th "Kechuang Cup" contest, the traditional student extracurricular academic science and technology activity of Chengdu Univerisity, we started to prepare for the 16th Challenge Cup in November 2020. All colleges actively mobilized their teachers and students to submit projects, and organized experts and professors to conduct preliminary examinations on the works. After a collective review of over 200 works by experts and scholars inside and outside the university, we determined 41 projects to be incubated. During the incubation of these projects, the university provided systematic training and one-on-one guidance in terms of project diagnosis, contest techniques, material optimization, and evaluation priorities through expert guidance, school-level selection, contest simulation, and other activities, expanding the research approaches, enhancing the project quality, and laying a solid foundation for the 16th Challenge Cup.
