On the morning of February 25, Matthew Ryan, a representative of the University of Stirling, visited our university and had an in-depth discussion on the joint international cooperation projects between the two universities. Du Jie, Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and Dean of the College of Overseas Education, Ran Jian, Dean of the College of Physical Education, Tan Xiaoling, Dean of the College of Literature and Journalism, and Yu Xi, Vice Dean of the College of Computer Science, attended the meeting.
At first, Du Jie welcomed Mr. Matthew and his delegation and gave a brief introduction to the development of Chengdu University, and expressed her hope to increase the in-depth cooperation between the two universities in the field of running schools and jointly promote the cultivation of international talents.
Matthew expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and also admiration for the construction of the Athletes' Village for the 31st FISU Summer World University Games Chengdu 2021. He said that the international development of Chengdu University in the field of leisure and sports coincided with the philosophy of the University of Stirling and looked forward to furthering international cooperation and exchange projects between the two universities.
After the meeting, Matthew Ryan and his delegation visited the library, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, and the Student Affairs Hall, and had an in-depth discussion on Sino-foreign cooperation projects.
