Chengdu University Signs A Friendly Cooperation Agreement with University of Stirling

In the afternoon of July 5, President Wang Qingyuan met with Professor Neville Wylie, Deputy Principal for Internationalization at the University of Stirling,UK, in the VIP hall. The two sides had a friendly negotiation on bilateral cooperation matters. Vice President Peng Xiaolin attended the meeting.

Wang Qingyuan introduced Chengdu University's educational philosophy and practices in building a first-class applied city university with distinctive characteristics in China, as well as the implementation of the internationalization strategy and the international training for students in recent years, especially its major development opportunities of building the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts Chengdu University and the Athletes’ Village for the 31st FISU Summer World University Games 2021. Chengdu University welcomes students from the University of Stirling to study here and hopes to strengthen cooperation with University of Stirling in the fields of scientific research, teachers' mutual visits and student exchanges.

Neville Wylie introduced the basic information of the University of Stirling, mentioning that Stirling is building a world aquatic center and a sports and fitness center, while actively cooperating with China's Forbidden City Research Center and Terracotta Army Research Center to further accelerate its international development process. He looked forward to more cooperation with Chengdu University in the future.

On behalf of Chengdu University, Peng Xiaolin signed an inter-university friendly cooperation agreement with Neville Wylie.  After the meeting, Neville Wylie led his delegation to visit the library, the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts and the Innovation and the Entrepreneurship College.


The relevant directors of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange were also present at the meeting.
