The Confucius Institute at UNH Wins the Title of "Confucius Institute of the Year"

On December 9-10, the 2019 International Chinese Language Education Conference was held in Changsha, attracting more than 1,000 Chinese and foreign representatives from more than 160 countries and regions.Peng Xiaolin, Vice Chair of University Council and Vice President of Chengdu University, and Vasudevan P.T, Senior Deputy Dean of Studies at the University of New Hampshire, a foreign cooperative university, and Directors of the Confucius Institute at UNH and Chengdu University, as well as Dean of the College of Overseas Education attended the conference.

The Confucius Institute at UNH jointly run by Chengdu University and the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in the USA was awarded the title of "Confucius Institute of the Year" at this event. Among the 535 Confucius Institutes in the world, only 25 have won this honor. This is a major historic breakthrough of Chengdu University in its efforts to strive to implement its internationalization strategy, and also a brilliant achievement in the ten-year construction of the Confucius Institute.

Wang Yige, Director of the Confucius Institute at UNH, was invited to give a speech on Chinese language education and students' entrepreneurship and employment at the sub-forum of Conducting International Chinese Language Education to Meet Social Demands and shared his experience in running the Confucius Institute with the participants, winning high appraisal from them.
