Functions of Laboratory

The laboratory is mainly to serve the discipline of Automation, Electrical Engineering and Automation. According to the discipline characteristics, knowledge structure and student conditions, under the "layered, modular, comprehensive and research-oriented" experimental teaching system, it applies the core control system of S7-300/S7-200 PLC to offer experimental conditions and facilities to students to study such courses as Electrical Control and PLC, Process Control System and etc. Such facilities and conditions are also open to PLC competition, course design, and graduation design. It helps students better understand automation technology so as to nurture their innovation ability.


Experimental Programs

Electrical Control and PLC


Content: bit logic instruction application experiment; timer, counter, shift register application experiment; building entry and exit crowd statistics experiment; rush control system programming experiment


Process Control System

Content: control system experiment of material transporting trolley; material mixing and mixing control experiment; 3D engraving machine control experiment


Major facilities

The Center Console of the laboratory is a multi-functional platform based on the Siemens S7-300 programmable program controller. The core units comprise digital/analog modules, failure safety digital/analog modules, and explosion-proof digital modules, analog modules and other counting positioning communication modules. Equipped with special programming simulation software, it can meet the demand of practical teaching of multiple courses such as electrical control, process control and other courses.


Three-dimensional Engraving Execution Device: it is mainly composed of position sensors and servo motors, which can complete motion control under the control of a PLC control platform and realize the engraving of three-dimensional graphics. A special control panel and emergency button are used to execute emergency control during the movement.


Small Batching Mixing Device: the small batching mixing control device system consists of a PLC control system, small reactor, raw material storage tank, feeding and discharging pipeline, instrument measurement and control system, actuator system and other modules. It can realize the mixing of materials in different proportions and stirring control.
