In order to actively respond to China's requirements on accelerating and expanding education opening-up, vigorously implement its international development strategy, cultivate college students in the new era with national identity and patriotism, global vision, good at international rules and of strong capacity of international competition, Chengdu University has integrated high-quality education and teaching resources outside the country to actively carry out joint training programs with foreign (overseas) universities, improving students' awareness of globalization and international mobility. By 2020, the university had carried out 40 foreign (overseas) joint training programs, which cover 17 universities in 10 countries and regions including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and Taiwan (China). The enrollment targets of these programs range from undergraduates to doctors.
