Gao Lianlian

Gao Lianlian is director of the German Teaching and Research Office and a lecturer at the College of Overseas Education. She is an overseas-returned master.

From 1996 to 2000, she studied at Southwest China Normal University (now Southwest University) and obtained her bachelor's degree in Music Education, majoring in piano with Prof. Jiang Jingrong.

From 2006 to 2014, she studied at Universität Hamburg, Germany and obtained her integrated master's degree (Magister). During the period, she studied historical musicology with Professors Friedrich Geiger and Tobias Janz, systematic musicology with Professors Rolf Bader and Albrecht Schneider, and sinology with Professors Hans Stumpfeldt and Kai Vogelsang.

Teaching Experience:

Subjects: Elementary German: Listening and Speaking, Intermediate German: Listening and Speaking, German Language and Culture, Introduction to Art, Film and TV Music Appreciation, Music Sound Effects (bilingual education), and Media Management (bilingual education)

Other Projects/Activities:

1. October 2017: Planned and organized the music festival activities for the 3rd International Week of Chengdu University, which included 1 academic lecture, 3 seminar sessions, 2 concerts, and 2 master classes.

2. December 2018: Planned and organized the first International Music Festival of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, which included 3 concerts, 4 master classes, and 2 academic lectures.

3. October 2019: Planned and organized the "Sister Cities' Night" concert for the 5th International Week of Chengdu University.

Research Fields:

Chinese and foreign music history, music aesthetics, film music, cross-cultural studies of music, translation of music literature, and international art education.

Scientific Research Project Participated:

Co-PI of the project "Research on the Transformation Trajectory of Composers' Creative Style" (16YJC760019) supported by the Youth Foundation of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education of China in 2016.
