Zheng Xiaodong, Han nationality, a third-grade professor, member of the China Democratic League, graduated from the Sculpture Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and serves as Director of Sichuan Arts and Crafts Association. He has long been engaged in the teaching of sculpture, environmental art and multimedia art. He is also a holder of the China Urban Sculpture Design Qualification Certificate issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, a senior appraiser of National Occupational Skills Appraisal and astanding member of the Expert Committee of the Art Education Committee of People's Fine Arts Publishing House. His research projects, including the landmark sculpture "Treasure of the Plateau" of Lhasa, Tibet (winning the National New China Urban Sculpture Construction Achievement Nomination Award issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the first prize of Sichuan Ba-Shu Literature and Art Award), the sculpture "Memorial Hall of the Red Army’s West Route Troop Entering Xinjiang", the logo sculpture "Rising" of CSR, a super-large central enterprise in China; the sculpture "Another Glory" of Sichuan Petroleum College (now Southwest Petroleum University), the sculpture "Monument of Water" of Sishu Garden at the Funan River, Chengdu; the landmark sculpture "Xin-Mang Bronze Weighing Instrument" of Dingxi, Gansu, the sculptures "Red Army Culture", "Han Dynasty Culture", "Folk Culture" and "Tea Horse Culture" of Lushan Cultural and Art Center in Sichuan, and the landmark sculpture "Mianzhu" of Mianzu, Sichuan, have received nearly RMB 20 million of scientific research funds. He has won the first prize of Multimedia Courseware Award of the Ministry of Education and the Excellent Instructor Award of the National College Students Art Festival of the Ministry of Education. He is the principal researcher of the quality courses "Sketch" and "Three-dimensional Constitution" in Sichuan. He is the editor ofWall Decoration Art and editor-in-chief ofPerspective,Sketch Tutorial,Color Tutorial,Digital Photography Tutorial, andGouache Color Sketch.
