Peng Xiaolin introduced the history of Chengdu University, its internationalization strategy in recent years, and the cultivation of students. Zhuang Lizhang introduced the basic situation of the University of Stirling, mentioning that Stirling is building a sports and fitness center while actively cooperating with the Forbidden City Research Center and Terracotta Army Research Center in China to further accelerate the international development process. He is looking forward to more cooperation with Chengdu University in the future.
After the meeting, Zhuang Lizhang and his group visited the library, the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, and held in-depth discussions on China-UK cooperation programs with the College of Physical Education, the College of Tourism and Culture Industry, the College of Literature and Journalism, and the College of Information Science and Engineering.
The representatives of the University of Stirling hoped to exchange with Chengdu University on the advantageous disciplines and development goals of both sides, and work with Chengdu University to establish a Sino-UK cooperation institute themed on "sports", combing the construction of the Athletes' Village for the 31st FISU Summer World University Games Chengdu 2021 and Chengdu as a "famous sports event city".
