Delegation from the University of Stirling Pays an Exchange Visit to Chengdu University

On the morning of March 28, a delegation of six from the University of Stirling visited Chengdu University, including Kirstie Carrothers Blair, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Jayne Helen Donaldson, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport; Alistair Simon Jump, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences; Kolberg Mario, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences; Zhuang Lee, Executive Director for Internationalisation and Partnerships; and Joanna Mary Hagerty, Head of International Mobility.

Vice President Peng Xiaolin warmly welcomed the guests and introduced the overall situation and development trend of Chengdu University, especially the progress in international cooperation and exchange. She mentioned Chengdu University's continuous effort in strategically promoting internationalization and commended the University of Stirling as one of the university's crucial partners. With the cooperation between the two sides entering its fifth year, Peng Xiaolin emphasized the importance of sincere cooperation between the two universities and expressed her expectations of the continuous increase of cooperative projects, the deepening of cooperation levels, and the gradual expansion of cooperation platforms. She also highlighted Chengdu University's intention to further its cooperation with the University of Stirling in seeking common development.

Yu Xi, Dean of Stirling College of Chengdu University introduced the college's operation, management, faculty resources, education and teaching activities, and student development programs, with a focus on the FLYOVER talent development system. The heads of the College of Literature and Journalism, the College of Physical Education, and the College of Computer Science introduced the overall situation of their respective colleges.

At the symposium, participants from both sides discussed the direction and content of future cooperation projects and expressed their expectations of multi-field and in-depth discipline integration exchanges and cooperation.

The heads of the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Stirling College, the College of Physical Education, the College of Computer Science, and the College of Literature and Journalism, as well as teacher representatives, attended the symposium.

After the symposium, the guests visited the teaching and office areas of Stirling College, the student dormitory, the fitness center of the College of Physical Education, the College of Computer Science, and the library, accompanied by college leadership members.
