From December 8 to 9, the final of the first China University Frisbee League hosted by the China University Sports Association, took place in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province. A total of 12 Frisbee teams from universities across China, including Beijing Sport University, Xi'an Sport University, and Hunan University, participated in the final. On the first day of the tournament, CDU Frisbee team won both of the matches and secured the top spot in the group, through to the final eight. In the knockout stage, it beat Hebei Medical University through to the quarter-finals. In the semi-final, the CDU Frisbee team competed against Beijing Sport University, the final champion of this competition, but unfortunately lost. The team quickly regained momentum and fought hard against Nanjing Sport University in the qualifying rounds for third and fourth places. Finally, it won the third place in the final. Gu Chenglong, the head coach of CDU's Frisbee team, won the Ethics Coach Award.

This competition represented a milestone achievement of CDU's sports team in Chinese college student sports events (individual). Coach Gu Chenglong has been promoting the Frisbee sport at CDU for over seven years, cultivating and incubating members for the university-level team from Frisbee club fans.
